The most effective technique for unclogging DPF/FAP/KAT filters involves using a high-pressure water jet combined with a carefully selected detergent. This method, known as hydrodynamic treatment, employs a pressurized water machine to thoroughly cleanse both the inlet and outlet channels of the filter insert. The machine directs a jet of working fluid from the outlet side of the filter, where the channels are typically unobstructed. This allows water mixed with detergent to penetrate the micropores in the walls that separate the channels, effectively reaching and clearing blocked inlet channels.

In this cleaning process, the filter is mounted vertically within the machine, outlet side upward, to facilitate optimal cleaning. This positioning ensures that the inlet channels are open at the bottom, allowing the dirty water and dislodged deposits to freely exit the filter.
